And TEXAS WINS their third consecutive bowl game by pulling out a win (even though they trailed behind at the half...) against the Iowa Hawkeyes in a 26 - 24 game!!!

1. As for things I learned... never pay parking money to a guy who walks up and says, "Parking, 5 bucks..." Chances are, he's trying to pull a quick one on you and will walk of w/ your money, leaving you unknowingly innocent until the church guys come up with their official shirts and hats and aprons and ask you for money... and then they tell you that you paid a scammer to get the parking spot... oh well, at least they said we didn't have to pay them too (bonus points for their church!)... they were nice!! :-)
2. Second thing I've learned... if you have a digital camera or a cell phone w/ a cam, then w/e you are not sure about a situation, pull it out and start snapping pics... as the possible "scammer" if you can take your pic w/ him... if he bolts, then obviously he's a phony...
3. Don't trust the cops... they tell you to walk when a huge bus is bearing down on the intersection...
4. It's funny to hear people yell when they've already lost their voice...
5. Burnt orange dominates a stadium quite easily (ehhh hummm... some people *cough* mike * cough* may want to consider wearing it more often...
6. The TEXAS LONGHORN BAND owns all!!!!
7. TEXAS spirit is, well... just TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas!!!!...... and I mean it!
It's sad how department stores think they have to refer to the current season with an expression of "Happy Holidays" versus "Merry Christmas"!!! I mean, there is a reason for this being the Christmas season. Jesus IS the Reason for the Season! Anyway, that's my rant on that topic...
I really should update this more often. It could be a great opportunity to excel in my writing skills that will help me succeed both in college and a future career. But, why spend time writing endless blog posts when I could be syncing my new 30 GB 5th Generation Video iPod with my ever-growing music collection. I mean, that right there is meaning in life folks. Never will you find more purpose than in spending countless hours ripping hundreds of CD's to your hard drive disk, just to realize that your HDD isn't big enough, and you're going to have to make a trip to Fry's Electronics to spend money upgrading your PC with additional storage space. Seriously though, I really like the new gadget, and I'm glad I didn't have to wait until Christmas to get it! :-)
One thing I dislike is how it's so difficult to put a DVD onto the iPod (hello, Apple, why did you do this???)... come on, why force people to go through 3rd party programs to decrypt a DVD and convert to the MP4 video format for the iPod. I guess the music industry will forever be a complicated web of companies worried about their rights over a certain slice of the pie... who cares about the consumers' needs and wants...
OneThing I like is the OneThing Conference in Kansas City... it is Amazing!! I don't think I'll be able to go this year, but it's definitely a priority for me next year! Check out the promo video:
My new RAZR V3 cell phone is cool… now that I’m on a Cingular plan, I can talk to any other Cingular customers for FREE!!!! Yay!!! Oh, did I mention that the phone was free too? :-)
Hmm… I’m working on beating Call of Duty 2… the campaign is fun…
I can’t wait for the Texas game against Iowa in the Alamo Bowl on December 30th! Get ready, here’s my prediction: 31 – 21, TEXAS!!! HOOK ‘EM HORNS!!!
Music… the Newsboys’ new album is really cool; it’s on my Christmas list… check out http://www.myspace.com/newsboys to listen to some great songs from the new CD!
I am planning to begin a new form of blogging starting with my next post (which should be tonight… I know, isn’t that crazy???)… in the continuing blogging war of the cousins, this new battle plan will enable me to prevail in the end… ultimate VICTORY!!!

Music
Well, I guess the music player is fixed now. I wish I could write a good post for this blog; I'm just so busy. Tomorrow, I have an in-class writing assignment over the Scarlet Letter... I don't know why, but "in-class" writing always makes me nervous. Arrggg...
But, I got my B-day present... I have now entered the stage of life where you own an iPod and listen to music wherever you go. So, is that good or bad? I know some people who have iPods and love them, others don't have iPods b/c they are "still a fad," and even some who have since changed their minds on the iPod being simply a current craze and would opt to get one at their next chance...
Well, that probably didn't make any sense since (notice that alliteration and homonym usage there :-) I'm worried about getting my HW done, so I'm going to just cut this short and get to work.
At least I don't have a bunch of HTML gobbledeeegoop on here anymore... and my music player works! Yippee!
